“The marvelous richness of human experience would lose something of rewarding joy if there were no limitations to overcome. The hilltop hour would not be half so wonderful if there were no dark valleys to traverse.” — Helen Keller
Success and business. I’ve learned a lot from being an entrepreneur. The journey has been a cycle of peaks and valleys. The most important thing learned was that I couldn’t truly appreciate the landscape of one without experiencing the other.
The valleys are filled with difficulty, disappointment, challenge, and uncertainty. There are more questions than answers, sometimes exhaustion or loneliness. And, there are the peaks — happy moments, projects completed, goals achieved, satisfied clients, and amazing testimonials.
My success has been experienced while navigating both the peaks and valleys. It’s been in each step taken forward — whether in fear or in fearlessness. It’s been in appreciating the panorama when my eyes gazed upward or my eyes looked down.
Success has been mirrored in learning about who I am — my adaptability, my resiliency, and my tenacity to forge ahead even in the most challenging of times. And, success has been in meeting amazing guides and friends along the way. Whether it was a helping hand, a listening ear, or a shout out of congratulations, I treasure them all.
My success is not just the mountaintop. It’s the entire journey to my destination — a place at which I will never truly arrive.
I coach people through the peaks and valleys in their business. I’ve made the journey and am still on it. Please connect with me at http://tarahelpdesk.com and let’s set up a time to chat.
