Beyond Kindle Sales: Extending the value of your book …

There’s so much more to becoming an author on Kindle than making money from book sales. In fact, most people who earn a lot of money from Kindle books are making money from other products as well.

They’re making money from events, products and services, and using their books to promote various offers. In fact, cross promotion of these items is one of the best ways to improve your business success overall!

Give Your Book Away.  One way to increase your Kindle book sales is by giving away your book for free for a limited time. If you publish your book exclusively to Kindle for 90 days, you can offer it free for a limited time period and then slowly increase the price. This will increase your downloads, move you higher in the search engines, and help you make more money on the back end.

Books Key Means Novel Or MagazineEstablish Authority. Your Kindle book is a great way to establish yourself as an authority. It’s no longer taboo to be self-published, as it was in the not-so-distant past. You can proudly proclaim yourself as an author which automatically gives you a measure of authority in your niche. People are impressed by authors, especially if it’s a good book.

Build a Relationship Beyond the Book. Using the inside of your book, invite your readers to connect with you on social media, read your blog and get to know you. Once you connect outside of the book you can market other products that you have, extending your relationship that much further.

Offer Other Ways to Get Information. A great way to connect and build a strong relationship with your audience is to offer a special download – perhaps a checklist, worksheet, a short audio or even a guide that goes along with your book. It’s easy to add a resources page to your book and a link to where they can access this special offer. By including an optin, you can also build your list and have a way to stay in touch.

Include Strong Calls to Action (CTAs). Inside your book, include strong calls to action. By listing the other books you offer, as well as other products and services, you can make it known to every reader what more you can offer to them.

Being known as a published author, especially if you publish a well-written and well-researched book, can benefit you and your business for years to come. It doesn’t really matter what kind of business you have, whether it’s online, offline, service- or product-based. Publishing a book on Kindle can be so much more than meets the eye. By creating a plan to integrate it with other parts of your business, you’ll be able to reap rewards well into the future.
